Hey folks, Below is another of the video clips resulting from Glen Bland's interview of yours truly. This one is only a couple of minutes long, and is focused on the value of tactical retreat to a legally-sound self-defense strategy. Building a legally-sound self-defense strategy is the culminating topic of both "The Law of Self Defense, 2nd Edition" and the Law of Self Defense Seminars.

Of course, retreat should only ever be attempted if it can be accomplished safely. You never have a duty to retreat if doing so would increase your danger.

(Having said that, if you were the initial aggressor--or can falsely be made to look as if you were the initial aggressor--retreat may be the only means by which you can "regain innocence" and reclaim self-defense, even if doing so would increase your risk. But that's beyond the scope of this brief post.)

In any case, I hope you enjoy the brief clip, and as always if you have any questions don't hesitate to ask right here.
